Windmill at Whitemill, Co. Louth
Built before 1734, but still regarded as new in 1744 (Louth Archaeol Jrn 1969). Shown on Wren's map of Co. Louth c. 1760 and with sails on Taylor and Skinner's 1778 map. Indicated by the windmill symbol on the O.S. 1st edition map, surveyed 1835. In the distance are hills in South Armagh around Forkhill.
