Token exchange at Corfe Castle
I'm sure any railway buff would know what this procedure is all about, but I believe it involves the exchange of tokens by the train driver and the signalman. Once completed, the driver then has the authority to proceed onto that particular section of single line track recorded on the token. A dated practice by modern standards, but one still being put to good use by the operators of the Swanage Railway.
