SE1821 : Short cut through plantation, Hartshead, Yorkshire

taken 12 years ago, near to Roberttown, Kirklees, Great Britain

Short cut through plantation, Hartshead, Yorkshire
Short cut through plantation, Hartshead, Yorkshire
This is taken from the footpath section of Hartshead Hall Lane and shows a well-trodden path, through a young plantation, that is not on the map. The other end of the path joins the footpath up the valley via a somewhat modified barbed-wire fence. It seems strange that people out for a recreational walk have made a new path just to shorten their route by 100m.
