Stone domed beehive hut, Irish National Heritage Park, taken 8 years ago
In the Celtic monastery area of the park is this reproduction of a hut with a stone dome. Huts like this are in the Skellig islands off the Kerry coast and date from about 600 to 1100 AD. For a photo of a hut on Skellig Michael see V2460 : Beehive Huts on Skellig Michael. For more photos in the park, see LinkExternal link .
