Lady Godiva, Broadgate
Lady Godiva, Broadgate
Lady Godiva, enjoying the sunshine after several years under a canopy, her horse wearing appropriate protective headgear. In addition, hairy men wearing bells dancing with hankies. It must be April 23rd.

The statue, in bronze by Sir William Reid-Dick, was originally installed in 1949 facing south but was turned to face west when re-installed after the building of Cathedral Lanes (right of picture) in the 1980s.
