SJ8557 : Old Man of Mow

taken 15 years ago, near to Mow Cop, Staffordshire, Great Britain

Old Man of Mow.
Old Man of Mow.
A pillar left as a remnant in a quarry and as it out-tops the nearby hilltop it is probably the hardest summit to reach in England. The easiest route is a slimy VS climb, and structural engineers have declared that it could collapse at anytime. Climbing is discouraged for this reason, but "it is there".
