SH6628 : Stone walls in Bwlch Drws Ardudwy
near to Bwlch Drws Ardudwy [other Features], Gwynedd, Great Britain

Stone walls in Bwlch Drws Ardudwy
There are enough rocks scattered about to make the spontaneous formation of a stone wall a distinct possibility. However, the land was once farmed and these walls, some of which cross the hillsides of the Rhinogydd at unlikely gradients, are remnants of that time. Nowadays, the northern Rhinogydd are a nature reserve, and grazing is limited to the occasional sheep and a flock of wild goats.
The place shown here is just east of the pass height of Bwlch Drws Ardudwy; the steep northern slope of Rhinog Fach forms the background.
