Grand Union Canal detail and reflections
On the far bank a concrete structure is almost certainly part of a water regulation device, as this Summit Level of the canal has numerous sluices and channels to allow water to be fed into the canal system at this highest point - and to allow excess water to flow away. Spring green leaves reflect in the otherwise brown water making it particularly attractive at this time of year.
