SH6427 : Sheepfolds, allegedly

5 km from Pentre Gwynfryn, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Sheepfolds, allegedly
Sheepfolds, allegedly
According to the map, the remnants of drystone buildings on this boggy slope north of Nantcol are sheepfolds. The building shown looks too substantial to have been built for this purpose originally though. It would be too high up the hillside for a permanent farm, but it could have been a hafod, a subsidiary farm building used during the upland grazing season in summer.
