SH6427 : Interior detail of a ruined farm building
5 km from Pentre Gwynfryn, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Interior detail of a ruined farm building
Taken from a pile of stones, this picture shows the ledge above the door which would have supported a wooden intermediate floor. Beams placed on this ledge would have made a level surface when anchored in holes in the opposite wall. The lower floor follows the gradient of the hill. At the entrance, the height of the ceiling of the lower floor would have been about 2 metres, but just about 1.6 metres at the rear.
