SH6428 : Top of the western spur off Rhinog Fawr

near to Foel Ddu [hill or Mountain], Gwynedd, Great Britain

Top of the western spur off Rhinog Fawr
Top of the western spur off Rhinog Fawr
This is the most easily accessible side of Rhinog Fawr. On a good day, the view across the Dwyryd estuary and Tremadog Bay is an excellent reward for all the struggle with boggy slopes and paths lost in heather. The mountains in the distance are the Nantlle ridge (Mynydd Graig Goch at the western end, 24km away at SH4948) and Moel Hebog (20km away, in SH6428).
