SH6529 : Summit of Rhinog Fawr
near to Llyn du [water Feature], Gwynedd, Great Britain

Summit of Rhinog Fawr
Standing on the northern edge of the summit plateau, the view takes in the northern Rhinogydd (Clip, northern Diffyws, Moel Ysgyfarnogod). The north face is steep enough to hide Llyn Du, a substantial lake below the cliff. The small lake that can be seen in the middle distance is Llyn Morwynion, which is on the opposite side of Bwlch Tyddiad. The mountainscape in the distance includes, from left to right, the Nantlle ridge (Mynydd Graig Goch at the western end, 25km away at SH4948), Moel Hebog (21km, SH6428), a very faint Moel Eilio (30km, SH5557), Snowdon (26km, SH6054), and just visible Moel Siabod (26km, SH7054). The NW corner of Llyn Trawsfynydd can be seen on the extreme right beyond the foreground hills.
