William Bird - Memorial Plaque, Chawleigh

This memorial plaque is no doubt placed near the place where Willam Bird was interred after his death on 20th July 1776. The plaque is in a fine condition, largely uneroded by the weather. The lichen has clearly thrived over time and makes the plaque blend into the wall to which it is attached. One can see it as a mass of white clouds. Other gravestones nearby are shown in later postings.
