These pheasants - a cock on the left, two hens on the right - were nervously scurrying around in the field to the southeast of SP9529 : Battlesden - St.Peter and All Saints. Little do they know that since February they've been safe from flying lead ... until October 1st at least. Have a nice summer ... and watch out for foxes, they're not aware of the law !
