This grass-centred lane leads back to the A4012 via Hill Farm. From that 'A'road this lane is actually signposted as a "Gated Road to Battlesden", but there is no such signpost in Battlesden suggesting that it be used as a shortcut to Hockliffe. There are two gates on the lane - one next to Centre Farm, where this photo was taken was open and looked to be semi-permanently so. The other is nearer Hill Farm and can be seen in SP9728 : Gate on Gated Road near Hill Farm, Battlesden
