NN4118 : Unusual flowers
3 km from Inverlochlarig, Stirling, Great Britain

Unusual flowers
Sheltered by rock on both sides and enjoying an unusual situation these wood anemones (anemone nemorosa) couldn't apparently survive in the open. Since they normally grow in woods (as the name suggests) we can guess that they are remnants from a former woodland.
Several other species of flowers were also in the rock crevice here, mostly not yet in flower.
