Statue of Field Marshall Viscount Gough
The statue stands in Chillingham Park at the head of a long, tree-lined vista to the Castle. It is a bronze of Viscount Gough on horseback, depicted in the uniform of Colonel of the Guards reviewing his regiment, field-marshal’s baton in right hand. The gun metal from which the statue is cast weighs fifteen tons.
