Housing, Raddicombe Park, Kingswear Road

When leaving Brixham and taking the Kingswear Road, one passes through the old cottages and terraces and meets newer housing both left and right. Then after passing through this, the environment becomes rural with high hedges, trees and fields left and right. On turning a corner and gaining height, one enters the parish of Kingswear, which is not within Torbay Council area, but is in South Hams. Here, surprisingly, one encounters a housing development apparently planted in the open countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. This was built in the mid 1960's .
