SU9949 : Guildford Bus Station
near to Guildford, Surrey, Great Britain

Guildford Bus Station.
The Bus Station is adjacent to the modern indoor shopping mall, "The Friary". The bus is a vintage one of local company, "Safeguard", here commemorating 50 years of service in the borough. The friary gets its name from the former Dominican Friary (dissolved by Henry VIII) on this site. Allders has now been replaced by British Home Stores.
The old bus here (200APB, AEC Reliance, 1950s vintage) was on the streets of Guildford to celebrate 80 years of Safeguard Coaches. Safeguard still operate some town services in the borough.
