SP6825 : Railway loop near Calvert

taken 15 years ago, near to Calvert, Buckinghamshire, England

Railway loop near Calvert
Railway loop near Calvert
Looking south-west, this line provides a link, known as the Claydon Loop, between the junction with the former Oxford to Bletchley railway behind the camera, SP6825 : Railway junction near Calvert, and the landfill site transfer station at Calvert, SP6924 : Waste transfer station, Calvert Landfill Site, Calvert. A stop lamp and no entry sign has been placed on one of the rails, probably to do with the transfer station being closed at weekends. Given the curve and the condition of the track, there is a speed restriction on the loop of 15mph.
