White Ladies Priory - Western wall
A view of the exterior of the remains of the western wall of the Augustinian Priory of St Leonard at Brewood, known as White Ladies. The popular name stems from the fact that it was a priory for nuns of the Augustinian order who wore white habits - hence "white ladies". In the past this has caused some confusion in that various sources have referred to the priory being of Cistercian foundation - as that order also wears white.
