Hammonds Department Store
Hammonds Department Store (now House of Fraser and for a while called Binns), on the corner of Ferensway and Jameson Street, Hull, looking north from the war memorials in Paragon Square. The original Hammonds was destroyed by bombing during World War Two and the new building was one of the first to be completed in the city's post-war redevelopment, built to designs by commercial architect T P Bennett and opened in 1952.
