New faster cranes were installed in 2008 to increase the lifting capacity by 10 to about 25 lifts per hour; the cranes were purchased from the leading manufacturer Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd of Killarneyu in Ireland; Freightliner Ltd has invested about £4 million in new equipment.
