NO1080 : On An Socach
4 km from Baddoch, Aberdeenshire, Great Britain

On An Socach
This is the north-eastern end of the long ridge of An Socach. As the ground starts to descend, the bare rocks of the ridge become covered with a thin layer of moss.
There is a good view to the hills on the far side of Glen Clunie. The conical shape on the left is Creag nan Gabhar, and to the right is Carn Dubh. Beyond them, on the skyline, is Carn an Sagairt Mor.
