Looking west from outside the Beetonsville Post Office at No.380 Anlaby Road. The Territorial Army barracks and drill hall opened on Saturday 8th April 1911, built on the site of a former detached residence called Somerset House. Wenlock Barracks is currently home to C Squadron (Volunteers) of the army's 3rd Medical Regiment. The city council's Newington & St Andrew's area action plan shows the barracks earmarked for acquisition and demolition between 2011 and 2014.
