From Owthorpe Hill

The wood on the left, Honeybutts Plantation, has mercifully been left unscathed by the major clearance work being carried out along the A46. This is in preparation for the dualling of the A46, Fosse Way between the Widerpool roundabout and Newark. This photograph shows the preliminary work along the Owthorpe Road where the slip road from the Fosse Way will be constructed. The road side hedge has been grubbed out and the new field boundary has been fenced. See SK6530 : A46, Fosse Way 2½ years on for more information.

The trees on the horizon are in Cotgrave Gorse in SK6534 and you can just make out some vehicles on the Fosse Way across the far centre of the scene.
