The Upland Way

The Upland Way begins at a point high up on Sinclair Street, and leads along the hillside above the houses of Helensburgh. For this first part of the walk, there is a single track, but, less than a kilometre ahead, the footpath branches out in various directions, leading either to Glen Fruin, to Duchess Wood in Helensburgh, to Rhu Marina, or (by much more tortuous routes) right up into the hills to the summit of Tom na h-Airidh.
