Oak tree and Welsh hills
Oak tree and Welsh hills
Photo is of field in SJ 5043 but was actually taken from the stile just in SJ 5044 at the junction of Agden footpaths 2 and 12. The view is on a bearing of 240 deg, almost along the line of footpath 12 (walked in reverse, back to the stile across the scene depicted, a little later in the day - so I can claim to have walked through the square, not just 'bagging' it from next door - in fact the photo was taken for SJ 5044 until I got home and realised that I was shooting away from the square I was in!). The oak tree is almost 200m away across the field at SJ 5047 4396. The snowy Welsh hills are visible in the far distance. Beyond the foreground field the land dips steeply to the valley of Wych Brook, running along the Cheshire/Wales border.
