Moss Hall, Audlem
"Dated 1616. Timber-framed and symmetrical, on the E-scheme...The timbering is mostly closely set vertical struts - so much so that the impression is 1516 rather than 1616. But there are enough little carved details, chiefly brackets, to ensure the right century." (Nikolaus Pevsner and Edward Husband, The Buildings of England: Cheshire (Yale University Press), p. 69).
