Widford deserted village and church
Widford deserted village and church
In the 14th century there were 13 houses close to this 12th century church of St Oswald. Time Travel Britain LinkExternal link has information about the church. An article in "Limited Edition", a magazine for Oxfordshire, said that maybe because of the Black Death, the village houses were abandoned. View north from the Burford to Asthall road; the church is at SP274120.
