Wixford Horsehouse
Wixford Horsehouse
This rare early 18th century structure of hurdle and gorse walls with a thatched roof is in Wixford churchyard. Wixford Church did not have a living of its own and this unusual horsehouse was built to stable the horses of visiting clergy from neighbouring parishes. It is a Grade II listed building and was renovated in 1997.
