Haytor Granite Tramway near Bovey Tracey
Haytor Granite Tramway near Bovey Tracey
In this square the granite tramway reaches fairly level ground. Used for less than 40 years in the C19, it runs for 8 miles and here follows what is now a bridleway between farmland and the outskirts of Bovey Tracey.

This image is duplicated in SX8077 : Haytor Granite Tramway, taken seven years later. With the benefit of a GPS reading, I have made the GRs more accurate.
