Woodland scene with bluebells
Woodland scene with bluebells
Most of the trees in this valleyside woodland are alders which were coppiced long ago. (Hence the many trunks from one stool of the tree in the centre of this scene). There was no sign of recent management in the woods and there was a marsh tit feeding a young chick as well as redstarts, all enjoying the natural environment.
