In the foreground a boundary wall stands mostly intact to keep livestock off the moorland. In the distance can be seen various lines: a path in a worn groove rises at a gentle gradient and crosses at right angles another line which climbs up the hill, being part path and part boundary wall. This latter line descends rightwards to a farm in the valley below.
