Gateway into the llan of Eglwys Pabo Sant
A "llan" is a religious enclosure. The Celtic churches had round "llans" - popular belief has it that this was to deny Y Diafol (the Devil) any corners in which to hide. The gate is dated 1836 but looks suspiciously new. This is because the old gate was stolen some years ago.
