NZ2115 : Piercebridge, Looking SE towards the Tees Bridge

taken 14 years ago, near to Piercebridge, Darlington, Great Britain

Piercebridge, Looking SE towards the Tees Bridge.
Piercebridge, Looking SE towards the Tees Bridge.
Stone-washed cottages in pastel colours in a County Durham street village with a green. The first house is called "Bath House", probably reflecting the Roman fort ruins which lie behind these cottages. The village also sits on Dere Street, the old Roman road which switchbacks north over the hills to the Tyne.
