Kingsbury Episcopi: Thorney Mill
On the river Parrett, by a half-lock. At one time barges traded here from Bridgwater. The nineteenth century watermill is of blue lias stone under a slate roof. It dates from 1823. Its waterwheel is said to be 14’ x 14’, high breastshot, and was cast by Coombs of Beaminster, Dorset, in 1866. The mill is now a private residence
