NX8582 : Drumlin landscape
near to Gordieston, Dumfries And Galloway, Great Britain

Drumlin landscape
A particularly fine example of a drumlin swarm ("basket of eggs" topography), a landform of glacial origin in the valley of the Cairn Water. In the distance are the Lowther Hills and it is just possible to make out the masts on the summit of Lowther NS8810.
