From the viewpoint on top of the bomb ballistics building. The remains in the bottom right are an old timing device. To synchronise timings of bomb drops and photographs from different cameras a light rotated in the centre giving different patterns of light onto targets around it. These patterns were included in the photographs and so the time of the image could be found from a punchcard record of the patterns displayed.
