Michael Faraday did a number of experiments on electricity in this house, which was owned by his friend David Salomon.
David Salomons House
The house was designed by Decimus Burton and built in the 1830s it houses The Salomons Museum. It preserves the country house of Sir David Salomons, the first Jewish Lord Mayor of London, and of his nephew, Sir David Lionel Salomons, a scientist and engineer.
