SD7669 : Robin Proctor's Scar
near to Austwick, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Robin Proctor's Scar
The scar at the southern end of Norber. A few erratic boulders lie in the foreground.
The scar is named after a local drunk who took the wrong horse back home from the inn in a storm after a night's drinking. His own horse knew the way even when his master was semi-conscious, but this one didn't and they both fell over the scar.
