Pwllcrochan church: stone tablet
Positioned about the grave effigy of Radulphus Beneger on the south wall, it says:
QUI TRANSIS PER EUM,SAEPE PRECARE DEUM
UT SIBI SANCTORUM DET GAUDIA SUMMAE POLORUM;
ECCLESIAM REXIT, CONSTRUXIT, ET BENE TEXIT
AC ALIAS AEDES, IN COELIS SIBI SEDES.
(With thanks to Richard Fenton for the inscription: he does not supply a translation but writing in 1811 he would have assumed his readers had no need of one!)
