Chapel of Royal Northern Infirmary
Chapel of Royal Northern Infirmary
This chapel was built next to the RNI around 1896. It was dedicated to the memory of the first Lord Tweedmouth. The main nave was designed for Presbyterian worship but the transepts were used for Episcopalian and Roman Catholic worship. Old photographs show a slender turret but I believe this was removed in 1966.
