Victoria Gardens, Neath
Victoria Gardens is a fine example of a Victorian park. It was opened in 1898 to commemorate Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. The majority of its features still survive, these include a gorsedd circle and a bandstand. It occupies the site of the former Merra village and field. A popular yet surprisingly peaceful place to spend a sunny hour in summer.
