SK1529 : Draycott Island

taken 13 years ago, near to Draycott in The Clay, Staffordshire, Great Britain

Draycott Island
Draycott Island
Traffic island on the A515 north of Draycott in the Clay. The large blocks of what appears to be gypsum in the middle of the island, more likely than not, originated from the nearby British Gypsum mine. A passing lady asked me if I could get them moved as she considered them a hazard to traffic. I said I would see what I could do and took three photos of them. They remained despite my efforts.
