Midden of "New" Mar Lodge or Corriemulzie Cottage
Queen Victoria danced as a guest of the Earl of Fife at Corriemulzie cottage, later named New Mar lodge; in Sept. 1852. The lodge was burnt down in 1895, and the foundation stone laid for the present Mar Lodge (NTS)on the other side of the Dee. This picture shews the Champagne and Port bottles from the Corriemulzie Cottage, and the dam which supplied water and electricity.
