The Elgin Hostel - Portree High School
The Elgin Hostel - Portree High School
Opened in 1933 as the boys' hostel for PHS, this building is now used as part of the main school - mainly for art and computing.
Hostels for both boys and girls who travel too far for daily commuting are now situated away from the main school campus.
The hostel is named after the Lord Elgin of Parthenon Marbles renown.
