Anglicised as vallaquie, this tract of machair and sand dunes includes a high dune just where the grid lines cross, making it possible to get a slightly more interesting view of the topography than could be seen from level ground. The distant headland is Aird a'Mhòrain, the most northerly point of North Uist.
