Saundersfoot Harbour
Saundersfoot Harbour
The Saundersfoot Railway and Harbour Company was given permission by Parliament to construct a harbour at the western end of the bay in 1829. Local collieries and ironworks used harbour to export their goods. Industry has now declined but the harbour still remains an important leisure and tourist attraction and is also in regular use by a small fleet of fishing boats.
