NN4064 : Windows, Old Corrour Lodge

near to Corrour Old Lodge [other Features], Highland, Great Britain

Windows, Old Corrour Lodge
Windows, Old Corrour Lodge
Little remains of what must once have been a large building.
Corrour Lodge was reputed to have been the highest inhabited house in Scotland before it was abandoned as a lodge shortly after the coming of the West Highland Railway towards the end of the 19th century.
The house is supposed to have continued in use for a while as a remote sanatorium.

I would be interested to hear more information on this building.
